On August 1, 2012, PLOS (Public Library Of Science) published the PACE trial results in their online journal. Their policy states that authors are expected "to make freely available any materials and information described in their publication that may be reasonably requested by others for the purpose of academic, non-commercial research."
On December 11, 2015, Kings College London formally withheld data about the PACE trial as requested by James Coyne in accordance with PLOS policy. KLC has labeled his request vexatious.
So far, the authors of the PACE trial have refused to release their data so that the PACE trial findings can be made available for careful scrutiny.
