This cartoon was created after I saw Jennifer Brea's film "Unrest." The film follows Jen and other ME/CFS sufferers as they try to cope with a serious life-changing illness, mostly without the help of the medical profession.
The hope I have for this film is that it will be widely seen by the medical community, and that minds will be changed and doors opened. I'd like to see it shown before every meeting of ME/CFS decision makers, so that everyone could be on the same page in their knowledge of how people try to live with a horrible illness.
Can one film change the world? "Unrest" is being viewed world-wide to excellent reviews. When the final history of ME/CFS is written, I wouldn't be surprised if the release of "Unrest" is considered a major turning point.
